Aphasia treatment (language deficits after brain injury, stroke). Support for expressive and receptive language disorders
Cognitive-Linguistic Therapy:
Memory and attention training
Executive functioning support (e.g., problem-solving, organization, planning)
Cognitive rehabilitation for conditions such as traumatic brain injury, stroke, and dementia
Voice Therapy:
LSVT LOUD (Lee Silverman Voice Treatment) for Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions
Treatment for voice disorders (hoarseness, vocal cord paralysis, dysphonia)
Caregiver Training and Education:
Guidance on managing speech, language, and voice disorders at home
Training in communication strategies for those with neurological conditions
Patient Advocacy
Empowering and educating clients regarding their diagnosis.
Assistance with communication with medical offices, coordinating care for a more streamlined experience.
Swallowing (Dysphagia) Services
Initial Evaluation:
Thorough review of medical diagnoses, medical history, recent hospitalization, as well as swallow studies completed alongside in person bedside swallow evaluation to guide therapy.
Swallowing Therapy:
Swallowing assessment and rehabilitation
Oropharyngeal strengthening exercises
Compensatory strategy training
Facilitating objective assessment (MBSS and FEES) at nearby medical facilities
Caregiver Training and Education:
Guidance on safe swallowing strategies to implement at home
Training in safe feeding techniques for those with neurological conditions
